Monthly Advancing Whyalla meetings are held on the second Thursday of
every month. Meetings take place at various locations throughout the city of Whyalla. Members are notified in advance of meeting venues and supplied with the agenda for that meeting. Meetings start at 5:30pm and are generally concluded by approximately 7:00pm. Non-members are invited to contact the Coordinator for information and details about upcoming meeting.
The
Annual General Meeting is held in early September and is usually followed by
a social meal to which all attending are invited.
All
meetings are open to the general community who are cordially invited to
attend.
It
is also worth noting that often a project sub-group may have additional or independant meetings
while undertaking a particular project. There are also a number of Affiliate groups (see below) whose meetings are independant of those of Advancing Whyalla. Please call the group
contact person or the Coordinator to confirm meeting location and times
for special project meetings.
Affiliate Groups
As an incorporated body, Advancing Whyalla is able to assist other community groups who do not wish to undertake the process of incorporation, or who may have limited resources and membership. These groups agree to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and as affiliate groups are able to avail themselves of many of the resourses, facilities and support of Advancing Whyalla Inc.
